<p>This is my first time here.. Could you guys give me advice as to what my chances might be for SFS? SATs are a big worry of mine.</p>
<p>Background: Mom is Taiwanese, dad Malaysian-Chinese. I've got a Malaysian passport but I've been in Japan my whole life. Attend international school. Female. Senior from Sept.
Speak: English, Mandarin, some Taiwanese, some Japanese, and taking French for my 5th year now.</p>
<p>SAT: 1910 (M690, CR630, W590) will be taking it a second time in Oct
SAT II: Lit 620, Math IC670
TOEFL: 297 (computer based)
Plan to take SAT II Japanese in Nov. Will retake Math IC</p>
<p>I'm an I.B diploma candidate student, take 4 higher levels (English, French, Economics, Music) and 2 standards (Math, Biology). I don't know what my GPA is, as our school doesn't calculate them until we're into our senior year dont know rank either out of 33. Tiny school.</p>
<p>Grades wise, junior year was As except for a B+ in Econ. Am pretty much done with my CAS hours except for Activity just got a few more left to do. For those of you who dont know, CAS requires 50 hours of each category; Creativity, Action, Service.</p>
<p>Volunteer work during this summer vacation with mentally&physically handicapped people.
Playing piano for 13 years, have a Grade 6 in Yamaha Grade. Did piano accompaniment for 4 years for Show Choir.
Student Council Treasurer in 9th~10th gr, Secretary in 10th~11th, Vice President in 11th~12th.
Handbells for 5 years
Volunteer work tutoring 2nd graders during junior year, once a week.
Volunteer work helping out 1st grade teacher with whatever she needed me to do, for a year, once a week.
Attended Global Young Leaders Conference one summer in Washington DC and New York.
Work experience: for a winter at the post office as a secretary.
Played violin for 3 years got a Grade-something I forget what, in ABRSM</p>
<p>Other colleges on my list so far: Amherst College, Boston Univ, UVA, Univ of British Columbia (Canada), GWU, Cornell, UPenn.</p>
