I'm a Hong Kong student who is accepted into UVa for freshmen admission 2005 under the engineering school, where I plan to major in aerospace engineering. I am now deciding between UVa and Imperial college in the UK, where then I would major in aeronautical engineering. Here I would just like to ask about the engineering department in UVa, and how their aerospace engineering program is like, as I haven't really heard about how engineering is like in UVa. And if anyone of you know anything about Imperial college or UK education in general, would you also please kindly leave a comment too about this??

Your comments would be very very helpful as I am desperately trying to decide between the two!!! Thanks~~

when i went to the engineering open house at UVA a month or 2 ago someone that i spoke to said that aerospace engineering at the school was going downhill and didnt suggest that i major in it there. But dont go by what i say, research it for yourself. The school's website is usually very helpful.

Buzzy, i know an aerospace engineer. If you would like, i can talk to him and ask him to send you an e-mail. He'd be happy, cause he's always trying to get people to become engineers. he's tried to recruit me a few times.

yea I do really want to know your friend and about what he says of the aerospace department. could u give me his e-mail, or any other ways of contact?

Whoops, didn't realize that the engineering site was set up that way. The guy is Houston G. Wood.

I asked the guy about it, and he really didn't want to talk about it, even when pressed, so i'm not gonna bring up the issue again. Sorry bout that.
