Aerospace engineering

Hi.I'm currently an undergrad student at Tehran polytechnic studying aerospace engineering.just for the record, you have to know that AUT(Tehran polytechnic ) aerospace is the best in this field in Iran, even better than it's counterpart in Sharif Univ.I'm preparing to apply for graduate study in US for 2013 and I was wondering what are my chances if I apply to the top 5 aerospace grad schools in US (Guggenheim schools of aeronautics) ?
My GPA (actually it's not called GPA in Iran, and it's measured on a scale of 20.students with a GPA of 17 and higher are considered as honor students.) is 18.5 and I'm the top student in our department. I'm also currently doing some research in plasma aerodynamics and have published the results .My TOEFL IBT score (last summer) was 110 but I have not taken GRE yet. What do you guys think ? I would really appreciate your comments.

Take the GRE first. It is important for admission into the top 5. You grades are important but how you present yourself should not be neglected. Those can make or break application.
Writing a good essay, motivation letter is extremely important. Look at some safeties as well.
