Aerospace or Material Science Engineering?

Hey Guy. I'm currently applying to college and I want to major in either Aerospace or Material Science Engineering. Which is harder? Which do you think is better based on job placement? Thanks.

what are you more interested in?

Neither is harder. It all depends on the person. If you want to see all the argument about that then search this forum and see the 8678757854990 threads discussing it.

Both have plenty of job opportunities.

Just do what you feel you will like more.

Thanks guys. I’ve decided that I will apply as a material science major to Georgia Tech. I really like chemistry a lot, but I also want to work in the alternative energy field.

Sounds like MSE is the right major for you then. If GT doesn’t work out take a look at the program at VT.

Good luck at the program at GT. One of the guys in my lab here did his undergrad in MSE at GT and said he had a pretty good time there.
