I started looking into the majors of civil engineering, software engineering, and computer science, although I'm leaning more towards software and civil engineering.

Although I heard these were ridiculously hard and about half the class (in software engineering) already has half of the class who has experience with programming, and I don't want to be behind everyone.

And for civil, even though I'm very well at math, I heard it's for people who were absolute wizzes in school, and yet again, I don't want to be at the back of the pack.

Is this normal to feel this way even though I'm a bright student?
