I know they're about 7% at GW, but is it really..? or is it smaller than that

and if they're are a good amount of black people at GW do most of them kind of stay in their own cliques or does everyone at GW intermingle

i am asking because i've been to a university which prided itself on diversity but i enter it jsut being like college blacks with blacks whites with whites/asians hispanics with black/hispanics

so i am just curious and i'm not just meaning the black atheletes

The black population seems to intermingle a lot. A lot of the Asian students stay in cliques but that’s the only group that really sticks together based on race.

most branch out at least somewhat. nobody really comes to such a global school like this to stay in their own clique.

From what I was told, I heard that many of the African Americans on campus try to all know each other and the black sororities and fraternities are extremely close. They also go to Howard University and University of Maryland as well as them comming to GW. Although they try to remain close, they say that is is very well diverse. I am an African American girl who will be a freshman in fall of 2011 This is what I heard from upperclassmen and blacks involved in Greek life.
