Stanford (EA)
WUSTL
UPenn (if my courses even meet the requisites for admission)
Rice
MIT
HMC
JHU
Oberlin
Kenyon
UT (from within Texas)
Thank you! I know this has been a lot of stuff, but I'll chance back with a link

I forgot! 5 on AP Euro, still waiting for other APs. Also, I plan on majoring in Biochem.

can I haz replies, anyone?

I think you can get into all of them except MIT and possibly UPenn. Your stats are as good as everyone else but your a black guy and they like that.

I’ll take the Math II and Bio subject tests, but besides that is MIT really a reach? I’m going to the WISE program in September at MIT that only takes 45 applicants.

id say mit is hard to get into because of its high percentage of applicants who score 800 on the math 2. if you told me you’re african why did you tell me your persian on my thread?

I am both.

Stanford (EA)- low to mid reach
WUSTL- low reach
UPenn (if my courses even meet the requisites for admission)- low reach
Rice- match
MIT- low reach
HMC
JHU- match
Oberlin- match
Kenyon- match
UT (from within Texas)- match

Congrats on the ACT! Chance me back?

bumpity bump

I’d say you have great chances because of the URM factor. Maybe raise up the bio to above 700?

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1175463-chance-me-before-i-start-essays.html</a></p>

the only schools that aren’t matches for you, i believe, are: stanford, mit, and upenn. stanford’s always a crapshoot though, no matter how qualified you are.

wustl is a high match i suppose, perhaps a low reach, but the rest are matches. your only weakness, looking at your stats, is your bio/math sat ii scores. :(

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1175706-chances-usc-tufts-rice-gtown-northwestern.html</a>
chance me back? ^ :)

Thanks a lot for the advice guys. I’ll work on those.

If you can raise your SAT II scores, say 750+ on Bio and Math, I think you’ll stand a great chance of getting into any of those schools.

What are my chances for getting into Hopkins, Emory, Rice, and other great schools?
Chance me back?

great chances at all of the schools (with the advantage of being a URM) except for Stanford, MIT, UPenn, and maybe Johns Hopkins because you want to major in biochem…
