<p>slipper -- i thought that for regular undergrad admissions, AI was most important--but that things are a little different for transfer admissions. Are you saying that AI is just as important for transfer admissions?</p>
<p>Just a question, does GPA carry more weight than the rank? Coming from a system of education with ranking that is determined through unweight GPA, I feel this may be unfair. Giving myself as an example, I was ranked number 1 out of 120 graduating students, with perhaps the most rigorous courses availabe. However my GPA was only 91 on a 100 scale, which translates to around 3.7 on a 4.0 scale.</p>
<p>no GPA does not weigh more than rank. rank is what matters. GPA is meant only to figure out where you stand compared to other students. that is why director of yale admissions said that they cannot use homeschooled students' GPA as a good indicator for anything.
P.S. I hate it when people say "most rigorous courses"</p>
