Again chances?? :o)))

Hi! I've made a list of good colleges with excellecnt bio and chem programs who have great number of internationals and give them fin aid because i'm hoping for a full ride somewhere. I'll be very thankful if you estimate my chances for Swarthmore and offer me some other universities which suit me best. (Main consern is fin. aid for internationals and strong biology and chemistry)

Thanks :=)

Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Yale are need blind for internationals (but are very difficult to get into). Many other schools, including Swarthmore, offer aid to limited number of internationals.

Go to this webpage:

<a href="http://www.swarthmore.edu/admissions/international_ambassadors.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.swarthmore.edu/admissions/international_ambassadors.html</a></p>

You will find e-mail links for three Bulgarian students currently enrolled at Swarthmore. International admissions is such a different playing field that they can probably give you more insight than any of us can.

BTW, you don't say if you are applying this month or next year. If it's next year, you might wait 'til mid January to contact these students. Exams start this week at Swarthmore, so students are preoccupied. Then winter break starts until after New Years. On the other hand, if you live in any of their home towns, it's possible you could meet them for lunch if they are home winter break.

You certainly have "the stats" to be a legitimate candidate and your volunteer work would be attractive to Swarthmore. I just don't feel qualified to offer any opinion on odds or finanical aid for international students, except that most Swarthmore international students do receive some finanical aid.

Thanks for the comments, btw I'm applying this month :)

Your stats are certainly within range for swat. good luck.

thanks :-)
