Aggregate loan limits-Confused

I'm confused about the Aggregate Loan Limits and I would appreciate some help understanding this please. I completed my B.A. this year and I borrowed the max $57, 500 for my undergrad loans. I was planning on attending grad school, or completing a graduate certificate program and I was wondering if I would be eligible to borrow additional Federal aid? Isn't the max limit of combined undergrad and grad loans $138, 500? The reason why I'm so confused is because I recently submitted my FAFSA and the results included this statement:

"Based upon data provided by NSLDS and your grade level, we have determined that you may have received a total amount of undergraduate student loans that is close to or equal to the loan limits established for the federal loan programs. Therefore, your eligibility for additional student loans may be limited."

But I'm not looking to borrow as an undergrad....I'm looking to borrow as a grad student. I'm also very fortunate to work for an institution that qualifies me for the Student Loan Forgiveness program, which is why I'm not as hesitant to borrow additional federal aid. Thank you for helping me!

See https://studentaid.ed.gov/types/loans/subsidized-unsubsidized#how-much

So you can borrow up to 138500-57500=81000 for your graduate studies.

Thank you so much for helping me understand this! I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. Grad school here I come!

The warning you received is standard - a lot of my grad students have that, and it’s from their undergrad loans. I have to review their aid to make sure they didn’t borrow too much as undergrads, note their files if they are fine, and help them fix any issues if there was overborrowing (which does happen).
