lol, the release of April 15th just means that the day is the last day they'll send everything out; however, the letters are sent earlier then that deadline. i received my acceptance letter at the end of March earlier this year.

Was the login name created by BC or were we able to sign-up with a custom one?
There was a custom made one, but once you activate it, you are prompted to change the password.

Even if I can't get into Agora, can I get my decision by snail-mail or regular e-mail?
You will not get the decision by e-mail, it will however come in the mail. it'll just take a little longer

Don't worry, like others have said the same thing happened last year with some getting links and others not - believe me, I understand how hard it is to wait, but if you applied EA, you have only a few more days until you know for sure.

There is no real need to freak out. It's probably meaningless. Although past evidence suggests otherwise...

Also, even if the links = acceptance, it's very likely that they haven't done every EA application yet. Decisions are due "No later than Dec 25", which realistically means they have until the 15th or so before they have to worry about having decisions for most, if not all, applicants.

It could be later if they mean decisions by email- they could wait until Christmas Eve then...

EDIT: There regular admissions website says by Christmas, but my Agora account says by Dec. 15, so it's coming down to it...maybe the links are a valid sign?

I GOT MY INFO UPDATED

it asks for a $500 deposit for admissions! :D lol
reslife, admissions withdrawal, or if i want to defer admissions, im IN :D

i just called the admissions office, and they said it doesn't mean anything and everybody's is updated.

do u think this is true?

can we hear the stats of people who have the links, and see if we think they mean anything>?

Eh, who knows. Depending on how they update the system, it could be meaningless. The history on these boards suggests that links = acceptances (despite BC previously denying it), but the absence of the links does not = a denial.

I just had the links, and refreshed and they are gone. Meaningless?

Depends. Could be a mistake in two ways, links are meaningless (accidental and no correlation to acceptances) or links were a mistake (they shouldn't have been put up yet and they were yanked).

yo no tengo the links :(

if it means anything at all to anyone else who doesnt have them i am/was pretty sure i will/would get in (but then again, who can be sure)

mine says "If you have not previously paid your application fee, you may pay it here now.

If you would like to withdraw your application, please submit the Withdraw Application Request. "

I think the withdrawal thing is new but maybe it was there the whole time. Has this always been there? If it's new, I guess it could mean deferred.

Nah, that appeared for everyone recently to my knowledge.

This is absolutely crazy...why in the world would BC do this? All I have is the withdraw application link and I am freaking out...

@yankeefan

Several people who had it now have it missing. It appears to have been a mistake of some sort. However, we won't know until the letters come. It's extremely possible that they just didn't update every accepted app before they realized the mistake.

Yeah, I'm hoping it's a mistake. I just don't understand why BC seems to make the same mistake "every" year.

ok, my thing doesnt say it anymore

where were u reslife form things?

"i just called the admissions office, and they said it doesn't mean anything and everybody's is updated.

do u think this is true?"

jorr, I don't have it, so I'm pretty sure that's just false, haha.

My daughter called today to say that she got her acceptance letter from BC today as a Spring transfer; Agora was just as in the post from Mkahane1990

Hmmm...they edited the source code of the folderwave page (admissions). There are functions for all of those links, and the input "DisplayAcceptView" has been added. Set to "hidden". There's no way to edit it, since it is sever generated, and even if there was I wouldn't attempt it myself or help others do so.

Not worth stressing over...we'll all get letters soon enough.
