Aid Question

Hello,

Many of the applications ask, "Do you intend to pursue need-based financial aid?"

If I select no for this, do I still have to submit any sort of FAFSA forms?

In addition, if I select no, can I still receive any other kind of merit based aid from the individual schools?

Thank you.

No, you don’t have to file FAFSA, unless the school requires filing of FAFSA in order to consider you for the merit-based scholarships.

Yes, most schools will award merit-based scholarships to qualified students that have no need. However, a few schools just don’t award any merit-based scholarships.

Check EACH school. Some schools require the financial aid applications be completed for merit aid as well.

Thank you both very much!
