<p><em>Bumps</em>. I got 7 in AIME and 2nd in region for Dision I in American Physics Bowl and 27th in a Canadian grade 11 chemistry contest. So do you guys know if CAS cares a lot about it? Cause to be good at contest you really have to be enthusiastic about the subject and be very outstanding at the subject.</p>
<p>An experienced admissions staff at a major research university, with top level engineering and physics programs, will know the significance of your AIME score. Emphasize it by referring to your math interests in your essay, or as something you would like to continue (via the Putnam, or specific math courses) while at Cornell. You may want to look at the "Theoretical Linear Algebra" course offered to high scoring freshman. This is the core of the best math students at Cornell.</p>
