Alabama's Honors College - How good is it?

Does Alabama have a good political science program? I could possibly receive a significant merit scholarship from them if I keep my grades up, and I would like to know what attending their Honors College and majoring in History/Poli Sci/Social Sciences, and maybe finance as a minor, is like. What is the workload, and is it worth it in the long run?

Bama has a well-ranked law school. JMHO, but schools that have strong law schools will also have strong poly sci programs.

As for the HC, personally I think Bama has an excellent HC and that’s because of its unusually large honors course offerings. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the variety of the course offerings. So many are so enticing that we parents would like to enroll. Lol

Go to this page, scroll down, and go thru the list of over 140 different HC courses…

There are 14 pages of course listings for the honors college.

This list does not include the honors courses within each dept, i.e. Honors Biology. So there are probably another 100+ honors level courses.
