All Compsci majors please come!!

I need help with BT!
I can only download <5 kbps
sometimes 10 kbps

soooo slow, i think Michigan "blocks" the ports
but when i use Azureus to check the port (NAT test?) it says it OK!

I never download anything illegal through BT , only some legal things (subscription, too)

how can i download fast through bt?

They are using packet shaping. They are restricting the speeds instead of blocking the ports. Try using it over a different port and encrypting the traffic.

what port? i try diff. port numbers

such as 5000, 4332, whatever works,
but its still sooo slow

Don't worry about the ports, you need to turn on encryption in your bittorrent software.

great! i encrypted it.

But it is still so slow lmao . I'm connected to 50 seeds/peers

and it's going <1 kbps

My port is 6888 ...standard is 6881 to 6889. Michigan should block this, right?? But it doesn't!
NAT OK for 6888!

Can i Port forward to my computer!? (i do this at home to increase speed)

I just got caught downloading snakes on planes today.

what did umich do when they caught you?

LOL how did you get caught n00b?

slowly closes Azureus and backs away from the keyboard

so what's the best way to download movies and tv without getting caught? at home i use utorrent and bittorent....can i use those here?
