I do dual enrollment at a community college, and I am currently picking the 3/4 classes I’ll be taking 2nd semester of my senior year.
This is the schedule I have chosen, which my counselor has stated is def the most rigorous option w/o math/science:
-High school English (No AP offered)
-High school Economics (No AP offered)
College classes:
-History: Race, Ethnicity and Immigration (I am going to be also taking it as an honors course, so it’ll be college level honors work)
-Native American Literature
-Spanish 4+ equivalent
-1 unit Political Science honors colloquium on Religion and Politics, essentially a 2hr weekly lecture with an honors project at the end.
Do you think the fact that I am doing honors classes and classes specific to my major (Political science) will make up for not taking an science or math classes? I have already taken 4 years of math (up to Calc BC) and 3 years of science (“AP” Physics, AS Chem, Bio). I am considering, however, possibly dropping the Lit class and taking a bio class instead that is more units (1 semester=1 year).
What do you think?
