I thought this was a good idea - Considering the success of the High School Life forum, and of course the insight given onto it from users on that forum, I thought those of us who have yet to make the transition to Boarding school/prep school, would appreciate expert advice/experience from current students/alumni.

All in all, Prep School Life (within Prep School Admissions, and in addition to Parents, Chances and Cafe), would allow many of us to benefit from the various stories and insights shared by those who have already tasted life at Prep School, significantly Boarding school.

All in favor...

Raise your hands! :)

P.S: Was wondering how we'd actually go about executing the task and creating the forum? Would I email/contact an admin?

Hope your idea gets off the ground, PreppyDude. Contacting a moderator would probably point you in the right direction. Seems to me that such a forum would be at least as much interest to current boarding school students, besides just the hopefuls.

Would be great! Only… it’s difficult enough to be anonymous on CC (I’ve already independently figured out the identify of several members haha), and I’m not sure how willing current students will be on sharing the more private and/or gritty dets on life at BS. But it would be awesome if they did :).

Aye! (hand is up high!)
Go for it- would really be so great, as there are many myths about boarding school that would be dispelled, and it would be a great way for the boarding school community (both parents and students) to connect.

I think students enrolled in boarding schools will be too busy to post on the forum during term. I’ve noticed that accepted applicants stop posting after school begins. Some applicants make a few posts during breaks, but not many.

For all I know, they might transfer their attentions to the High School Life forum once they’re in high school.

I actually completely agree with Periwinkle. I’ve noticed that many currently enrolled boarding school students post usually during breaks, so they’re on here just occasionally. The newly accepted students also stop posting things after school comes around in the Fall. But, it wouldn’t hurt to start that forum I still like the idea

I don’t think the HSL forum is well organized. Unlike Prep School Admissions, you really have to rely on the search function which isn’t that great. I like the smaller forum within a forum approach within Prep School Admissions. Also, I think Prep School Admissions gets a different audience from HSL.
