Alliance of the (slightly) average students

Actually only an average student would think Stanford has ED. So Lentil belongs here.

man i have a 3.61 with APs/honors

Where do I belong on this site?!

Alliance of the (slightly above) Average Students
D:

I need to make that a thread. Or does someone want to make it?

My SAT is a 1680 taken the second time.

if that doesn't qualify me, socalscott, do i have your permission to make a thread for the Alliance of the (slightly above) Average Students?

edit: and i am diagnosed with ADHD too, if that's to my benefit!

^
Ooh thats a toughy...your SAT score does grant you access into this elite organization. You are (slightly SLIGHLY above) average, but nonetheless average.
Welcome.
:)

Thank you! I feel special, for once on this site!

So, where is everyone headed for college? I'm headed to the totally average Northern Arizona University!!

considering i'm below average by CC standards & WAY below average by the standards of my classes [mostly honors/AP], i declare myself a part of this thread & i don't care what any one says ; )
GPA-3.3ish UW
SAT-2020
i really regret being an idiot by taking all of those classes. if i had just taken a couple more regular classes & not been such a dumbass by being intimidated by what half of my friends would think, my GPA would be just fine. but noooooo, FML.
p.s. i really want to get into a good college, which is the saddest part :(

you have a great SAT, smartteenangel!!
did you experience a lack of motivation in regards to your gpa?

^^
Yeah you honestly REALLY have an amazing SAT score, thats something to be proud of. Yes, you aver (slightly) average. But it DOES show you are smart, just lazy. :)

I definitely deserve to be inducted into this elite cult!

hey! remember to post your stats/colleges or you will be denied induction! ;)

I want to be part of this group but I think I'm too above average.

SAT: 2110. CR: 770 M: 690 W:650. But I'm retaking in May
PSAT: 226
APs: APUSH (4), Art Hist, Human Geo, Calc BC, English lit, English lang, Psych (self study), Physics B, World Hist, Chemistry
Honors/Advanced: All other academic courses
GPA: 3.8000
Rank: 5%, 14/349
ECs: Ballet 12 or so hours/wk, lotsa volunteering, tutor both for free and in a work-study program, ski, viola, piano, other junk I'm forgetting

BUT, I suck really really hard at calculus. I always have the lowest grade in my class. Always! Please let me in!

holy crap millancad!!! you seem wayyy above average. with the EC's and all that. and the SATs. and the rank. and the APs!

but it's up to socalscott to let you in, of course.

^
I'm sorry, but you are a genius.
:)

I had a bud make a facebook group for this
Alliance of the (slightly) Average Students | Facebook
Woooot

^
Haha, although SAT less than 2000 is only slightly average on CC. Probably not on Facebook.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-confidential-cafe/274425-average-people-club.html ?

Oh but this is no club, it is an alliance. And a much more strict one. <2100 there? Pftt. We're 100 points lower. And require NO AP/Honors classes (although I do make exceptions)
:P

aw, thanks reya & scott :)
in reference to my GPA, actually, it's not a lack of motivation at all. it's sort of a combo of being in a really stressful/competitive school environment+really tough classes+bad study skills [my dad thinks i have ADD cause he had it bad when he was a kid :/...either that or i'm just horrible at school because i actually study a LOT & therefore have virtually no social life sigh]
i started a pretty successful volunteering club at my school though so hopefully that that will slightly make up for the really low GPA :/
