I hope someone here can help me with this process. I already have a BA and a PhD however I have realized that I am more interested in Medicine than Social Science (the field I have been in so far). Can anyone tell me what would be the process of changing my field of study and go to Medical School. I realize that a Pre-Med program is necessary to be ready for taking the MCAT, are there accelerated Pre-Med program that would make me ready for the MCAT and applying to Medical School?

I suggest a postbaccalaureate program for career changers. That means you take all pre-med classes, take the MCAT, and apply to medical school in the span of 1-2 years. Some of the better postbaccs (such as the one at Bryn Mawr) even have guaranteed admission to a med school provided you meet a certain GPA and MCAT requirement. SDN (Student Doctor Network) has more resources for nontraditional students.
