Are you supposed to receive an email from chicago informing you that your application has been received?

Anyway, I'm quite nervous. I absolutely LOVE Chicago and as a result didn't even apply for financial aid since they're not needblind for internationals. We can afford it without financial aid, of course, but if I get accepted somewhere else (an ivy etc.) with considerable aid, I might not be able to go to Chicago, accepted or not.

Ugh, this waiting will kill me. Just had an interview today and it was great. Chicago is definitely my first choice, and I think it's my perfect match, but who knows these days. I applied also to Barnard, McGill, NU, and UMich.

Good luck everyone! Everyone who posts here should get in...I wish.

haha, although i checked the whole site of chicago, i accidentally missed the fact that the admissions deadline is the 2nd of jan, thought it was the 1st! oooh, we people know how to make our life hell, don't we?...

and yeah, because i was in such a hurry i wrote "maths invalid" because that's how it's in Bulgarian. Yesterday, when I decided to reread my essay (why??), I realized that this word is not used anymore in English....

i'll also say GOOD LUCK, SLEEP WELL- if we are admitted to Chicago, I'm sure we'll need those accumulated hours of sleep!

Maybe those insane people with perfect scores, perfect essays, and, well, no life (?) who discover some method for dating alligator teeth. Me, I only WISH I had that much time. Crossing my fingers that I'll get in, but wishing only gets you so far, I guess.

Chicago a SAFETY? ARGH! What's wrong with you people?!

I think my U Chicago essay was the best of all my essays. I started the app before my common app essays, way back when I could actually write a normal essay. After writing several hundred of these, all I'm doing is writing a bunch of regurgitated phrases I've used in past essays... And I managed to submit mine on the 26th of December! Whereas all my other apps were submitted really close to the deadlines (like minutes...)
