I applied PR back in November and I was notified that I was put on the alternate list. Anyone know how much of a chance I'll actually make it? It seems to me that a LOT of people have applied to Rochester this year.

The talk here is that Rochester put a lot more students on the alternate list this year because the past two years their yield was unexpected and lots of students were in forced triples. So they’re seeing what kind of yield they get with the students they’ve accepted, having accepted fewer than they usually do. That’s the CC thinking right now. So if the yield returns to pre-2012 levels, there will be a bunch of alternates getting in early May, possibly late April.
