I just found out my CALS interviewer is actually a faculty member at Cornell, and has engaged in research there. In addition, the interviewer is one of the heads of our local CAAAN chapters. Does this mean anything? Because people at my school have applied to CALS with a similar major and haven't been contacted. I'm very nervous but excited. I know this is an "information session" even though the alum will report back to the university. But does anyone think this is meaningful?? Maybe I'm just excited to speak to an actual alumni who is very well known in her department. Also, I'm wondering if the information she reports on me will have more weight considering her credentials and background.

Any thoughts??
