Babson offers the opportunity to conduct your college interview with an alumnus rather than an admissions counselor. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to doing this?
The advantage of the alumni interview is that you can probably do it close to home instead of traveling to the school for an interview. But my D found that interviews with admission officers are more worthwhile. Admission officers are professionals who typically know the ins and outs of the school while an alumni interview can be hit or miss ( for example you could get a recent alum who may not know how to conduct a good interview, you can get an older alumni who isn’t so familiar with any recent changes in the school etc.).
Hi, I have heard that they don’t evaluate the interview? Is that real?
