Alumnus Letter of Reference

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I have a question about letter of references. What is the procedure for submitting letters of reference for RD applicants? I asked my aunt just today, and am wondering if it is even possible for my aunt, an alumnus with whom I'm very close, to mail one to the admissions office past the Jan 2 deadline. Since I just asked her today (I didn't really think about asking her in my defense), do you think it would be cool if she sends it in in late January? Or should I just not have her write one at all, given the limited time frame?</p>

<p>im not sure how a letter of reference from your aunt is gonna look. also isnt it supposed to be a teacher rec?</p>

<p>Anyways - im pretty sure all materials bust be postmarked by the due date</p>

<p>since letters of rec doesnt count as you, and its not your job to meet the deadline (its the recomenders) its ok to send it after jan 2.</p>

<p>but make sure its worthwhile.</p>
