I think Goucher is my first choice.
I have visited during the Goucher Open House and I interviewed when they came to my area. But I do not have the best GPA and test scores
I am applying Early Action, I just want an outsiders opnion since my college counslar thinks this is a safety for me but I view it more as a reach.
Also, have I showed enough intrest in the school?
GPA: 3.37
ACT:25
(Did ACT with writing and recieved a 10 on the essay)
Private High School (on partial scholarship)

I believe the interview went well and my interviewer told me that they do not get many applicants from IL, in the college catalogue there are no current students attending Goucher from IL.

My senior year schedule

Thanks for all future responses!

Not sure. My daughter goes there now and she had a 25 on her act. Scores are optional now.

My son has applied early action. He has about a 3.2 GPA, that includes his electives, his academic GPA is probably lower, but his weighted would be higher.

His superscored SAT's are 590 CR, 680 M and 600 writing and he has a 27 ACT.

he has one really solid community service and many sports. He interviewed with the dean of admissions. His counselor keeps calling it a reach school, but now sure.

Thanks for your response! Like I have said before I do not trust my guidance counslar and that just really reaffirms my mistrust. Goucher is probably a major reach for me, especially since I am female.
Well, I cannot do anything more since my application from Goucher is fully complete now for early action.

You are so kind!!!!!!!! :)

Misty -- Good luck to you. For what it is worth, your 25 on the ACT translates to a score of 1130–1160 (M & CR) on the SAT. So you are slightly below their mean of 1180. Goucher also looks at GPA critically, by which I mean it is not a numbers game. They are more interested in what courses you took to achieve the 3.37 GPA than the raw score. You have done very well on the two AP exams you have taken so far and your senior schedule appears suitably rigorous for Goucher if not for the super-selectives. I think you have have a decent shot, particularly since you come from an under-represented part of the country.
