I sent in my app sep 27 and it was complete oct 17 and I still havent heard anything.

OOS
2190 SAT
great recs
good ecs and essays
but... 3.1 mich gpa (7 APs- scholar with honor, N Merit Semifinalist)
i did send in my quarter grades which were all As unweighted
parent is alum

Am I as good as deffered? Is there anything that I can do? call or write them? would my quarter grades help and is there a way to confirm that they arrived?

anyone in the same boat? thanks for any feedback. I love mich- go blue...

How do you know when your application is "complete"? I submitted mine a few days ago and it was 'received' the very next day. Do I get another e-mail saying that it is complete? Is there a difference?

krabble- thanks
wolverine access will show both when everything was recieved and it will eventually say application is complete- then the mind numbing wait starts...

I got an email with an application number and instructions on how to set up WA. The email arrived about a week and a half after the application was submitted, but before all supplemental material was received.

myccname, you are most likely going to be deffered. Your SAT is very competitive, but your GPA is low. But if you continue getting straight As your Senior year, I would say you will probably be accepted in the later Winter/early Spring.

Krabble - WA will eventually list everything as being "received." That includes SAT scores, recs, transcript and application. That happened for me about two and a half weeks after I submitted the app - had to wait for SAT scores to get there.

But usually WA will still say "incomplete," even once everything has been received. It took an additional week after everything was "received" to be updated to "complete." Overall, it took four weeks from the time I submitted the app until WA said "complete." The confusion comes from wondering if they actually start to process the app before it says "complete." Ppl who have called admissions have been assured that they start processing your app as soon as everything is "received."

What else can I do to get accepted now? I already sent my quarter grades. Should I ask for confirmation that they recieved them? Should I get a second rec (which would be as good as the first)? Should I have my adviser who wrote the rec and likes and respects me call or have my college counselor call or alum parent call the alumni relations office? Can/ should I write a letter to them- I'm a big fan and have been getting better grades my jr year than my soph year and better sr than jr?

Krabble - Just to clarify - receiving your WA info doesn't necessarily mean that you are complete. It just allows you to log on and view your credentials. It might still say you are missing something at that point. The app starts getting processed when everything is listed as being "received."

Also, the original email that says your app was received does not apply to any of the supplemental materials, just to the main part of the app.
