Honors are out of 4.5, APs out of 5.0, and standard out of 4.0. Spanish II Honors wasn't offered, and of course, Honors Theology isn't offered either. As for math, I have no excuse except for the fact that I'm terrible at it. These are all of my end-of-the-year grades:

Sophomore:
Honors Chemistry: 4.0 (got a B+ first semester and an A- second semester)
Spanish II: 4.0
Honors World History: 4.5
Honors American Lit: 4.5
Theology: 4.0
Algebra II: 3.375 (I suck at math; got a C+ first semester and an A+ second semester with a tutor)

= 3.79 uw/4.06 w?

Junior:
AP Biology: 5.0
Honors Spanish IV: 4.5
AP Euro: 5.0
Honors Lit: 4.5
Theology: 4.0
Pre-Calculus: 4.0

4.0/4.5 weighted?

Senior (am now a senior; but I'm doing ok with my courseload and will def. finish the year off with straight A's)
AP Chemistry: 5.0
AP Spanish Lang: 5.0
AP US Comparative Gov: 5.0
AP English Literature: 5.0
Theology: 4.0
Calculus: 4.0

4.0/4.66 weighted?

So that ends up with... cumulative 3.93 uw/4.41 w?

PLEASE respond ASAP. all you have to say is yes or no. thanks

come on guys it’s really not that hard…just say ‘yes’ or ‘no.’

The weighted one is correct, yes.
For your UW, I got 3.94.

Thanks! So even with the C I still have a 3.94 uw? that’s really cool…

thanks again! :D

Maybe I don’t understand it right but I always thought that UW meant that all courses were out of 4.0 regardless of AP / Honors / whatever. Weighted is out of 5.0 or something.

indigoplateau - yeah, that’s what I did for the uw gpa. i don’t think that weighted gpa has a set “out of [blank].” correct me if I’m wrong, but I think weighted GPA varies by the number of AP/honors courses you take…

Yeah, you’re right, but I think weighted GPA has a max of 5.0. I don’t know if I understand it right though.

i don’t think so…what about the schools that have kids with 6.0’s…I know of someone that had a 5.82 GPA, but that was out of 6. so i guess you could say it’d be a 4.82 out of 5. i don’t really know…lol

I think that just depends on what they award AP classes. At your school the max would be 5.0 because even if you took all APs the average would still be 5.0 because that’s what they award an A+. If the school awards an AP A+ a 6.0 then that’s different.
