Am I competitive; should I apply for PhD programs this year: Psychology/Behavioral Neuroscience?

Hello everyone, another cliche thread! So here is my current “stat sheet”: Ugrad GPA= 3.98 (Stony Brook University). Masters GPA= 4.0 (Stony Brook University, courses: ANOVA, Neuroanatomy, correlation and regression, behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, history of psych) GRE: 150v/152Q/5.5AWA (low, I know).

Lab experience: 1 year in Animal behavior lab, so: sterotactic surgery, use of siRNA, cryostat, nissl staining, animal handling, startle chamber operation, perfusions, etc.

Thanks!

Hi, Nick. It is hard to “Chance” at the grad school level. Have you found the gradcafe website? But yes, I think you should apply, although better GRE scores would help for top programs. Be sure you have a range of programs on your list.
