I've only been in college for about 2 weeks, but I'm afraid I might be going out too much. First of all, I haven't actually gone out to a frat party, or anything of the sort (it's not my scene). Right now, my classes aren't assigning too much homework, it's mostly a lot of readings. I do finish my readings, and my classes aren't that early (my earliest class is Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30)

For example, tonight I went out to get ice cream with my friend, and we ended up walking around for like 2 hours. I came back and read the chapter I needed for class tomorrow, but someone else invited me again to go out and grab something to eat, so I said yes. Yesterday, I had no homework or readings to do for today, so I spent a couple hours out at the mall with some friends, then I went to this diversity social group meeting thing at a nearby school.

In high school, I didn't really go out. Most of my time was spent going to school and back home. Now that I'm in college and away from home, in a big city, I kind of want to take the opportunity to go out when I can. I don't think it'll interfere with my studies, because I feel like I can manage my time. I finish my readings, and I do my homework, so I'm not lost so far in any class and can participate in discussions.

Should I cut down my going out, or is it okay?
