Okay so, I got into Cal State East Bay. I applied for english and got in. Second semester of trig, my grade wasn’t looking promising so I emailed them, they said I had the option of taking geometry online so that my admission wouldn’t be rescinded. I finished the geometry with a B to satisfy my A-G requirement for the D I got in trig this second semester. Just today, we took a final for physics and it was 80% of our grade, the teacher didn’t go over it (not his fault) with us so 2/3 of the class ended up recieving a nonpassing grade overall. I ended up getting a D- in physics. Physics is not an A-G requirement (I think)because I passed bio and chem my soph/junior year. With this D in physics (non AG I think) and this D in trig which I mended with the credit recovery offered to me, will my admission still be revoked? My grades for second semester of senior year are as follows:
Physics CP: D-
Teaching assistant/tutoring: A
Trig (took credit recovery for geometry to mediate it): D
AP Literature: A+
Sociology: B+
AP Econ: C
Thank you
My dude, simple get in contact with an admissions counselor and ask. They’re the only ones that can tell you definitively. shouldn’t take more than a few days to get a response. But my best guess is that if it isn’t a required class, and your GPA still falls above the minimum requirement, AND you’ve met all the conditions outlined in their offer of admission (not sure if CSUs do this but UCs do), then you, my friend, are golden. Good luck and be sure to post the outcome :3
East Bay is very lenient, I just got off the phone with them right now. I explained my situation and they said it should be fine given I completed my A-G req (which I did). The D was in CP physics, not AP which helped. I also meet my eligibilty index so yeah! They just have to verify it with my final transcript now. @OhHeyThere69
@prabhleeen Congrats!!! That’s a huge relief to learn (i know first hand)
I’m still afraid that they’ll find a reason to you know… do what I was afraid of them doing @OhHeyThere69
Ok. So heres what you do then. Since you got a phone confirmation to calm your mind, send an admission councelor or admissions in general a follow up email inquiring if what you had heard was correct. Be specific about your grades, classes and current position. Get a confirmation email so you have proof if they try to rescind you for domething they told you was ok. That’s about all i got. :3
Can you PM me so we can exchange information because they sent me an email as well and I would like for you to look at it. @OhHeyThere69
I got in, just finished my first week
