Am i good enough for PENN soccer?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I will apply ED next year and i was wondering what the overall thoughest of PENN soccer really is. I know it is division 1 by the way.</p>

<p>Just to let you know i am Chinese MALE - Asian so will i be seen differently?</p>

<p>I play in my school’s varsity soccer B-Grade which won the regional secondary school Championship. I play offense and not always starting line up. I only started a year ago in the team although i played soccer 5 years ago. Major sub-in.</p>

<p>The thing is i play among UK players who are exceptionally good but there are few asians too. About 3 asians including me and 10 UK, europeans. I would say that my school is very competitive in sports overall. If you rate me out of the 13 players i would stand somewhere near 10/13 although it really doesn’t work that way.</p>

<p>I don’t know how tough soccer in US is but i think UK is definately “in the blood”. (No offence)</p>

<p>I don’t mind playing sub if it helps my application process.</p>

<p>My skills are definately passing and my speed.</p>

<p>I also notice that some people tell me to “contact the coach” but i don’t live in US and the way to approach things. PLEASE give me details. </p>

<p>I know this sounds stupid but is there only 1 coach and gosh i have no idea!!</p>

<p>Finally, how big is the soccer scene?
I have seen the website and the players are listed on the website, i went youtude and the Penn basketball is like NBA. Is it a really big thing and commitment? Really Competitive and SELECTIVE?</p>

<p>hey chelsea, i would love to help you, but my best suggestion is that you actually contact the coach of penn's women's soccer and see what the process is for being recruited, which i think most ppl are when they are on division 1 teams..but there are alwasys walk ons..</p>

<p>I am a male btw. Chelsea is just the name of a soccer club.
I know i have to contact them but if anyone here knows, its better then just knocking unknown doors. I don't want to make a fool out of myself if i actually will.</p>
