Might be a longshot with SAT/ACT scores and GPA but Dartmouth is really the most unpredictable you might still get in there. @wencito

Unlikely due to your low GPA and Test scores, but being a URM and a first gen college student definitely helps. Not to dishearten you (and not that this is an indicator of all admission results) but I was denied last year to Columbia, Harvard, Yale, Penn, Duke, Stanford and USC with a 3.75 GPA and a 2150 SAT.

no… you’re mid-tier college material. You can probably get in to most state schools, but probably non of the top schools or Ivies…

People on CC tend to overexagerate. Just look up the schools you want to attend and check their admission stats. Your SAT is very decent and your ACT is even Better. Ivies might be hard but you still have a good shot at other good schools. According to CC if you don’t have a 2380 SAT you suck, but when you realise admissions are holistic, and when you check out percentiles and admission stats you understand that’s not true. I’m not saying you’ll get into harvard, but i’m saying that most opinions on this forum are often unbalanced. Stay motivated.

Good luck

Thank you meriks for your words of encouragement. I’m aware of the insanity of CC. I didn’t actually think kids like these actually existed, but I got into a fly-in program for Amherst and met some of the kids like this. Kids who won state competitions, kids who had done internships under their mayor, kids who just seemed amazing. I remember a girl found out that she got a 2350 on the SAT and acted like it was no big deal.
But hey, I can only hope, right?

Thank you everyone else for your input!

Anything is possible, but it is the longest of long shots. You have applied to a number of other schools, some of which match your stats and some of which your stats are on the high end, right?
