Am I on the Right Track for Ivies?

<p>Hello I'm new to this website.
I am an incoming junior and was wondering If I was on the right track to shoot for the Ivies.
Please understand that I am not entirely familiar with how this website works.
If I forget any piece of information, please tell me and I will try to fix it.

<p>Unweighted GPA: 4.0/4.0</p>

<p>ACT: 35 (ENG 35/MATH 34/READ 36/SCI 34/Essay 10)
SAT 1: 2180 (Have not taken since before freshman year; will retake this year)
SAT Subject: N/A (planning to take US History, Math Lvl. 2, and Chemistry this fall)
AP: US History (5)
PSAT: 220+ (I cannot exactly remember but it was in the lower 220's)</p>

<p>Junior Year Classes:
AP Junior English
AP Calculus BC
Physics A
AP Economics
Spanish 4
Orchestra
PE</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Student Council (will run for office)
Math Team (likely captain next year)
Scholastic Bowl (likely captain next year)
School Soccer Team (likely JV1 captain next year)
Violin (+6 years)
Volunteer (Tutoring elementary school students in math, serving in church praise team)
Student Reporter for local newspaper</p>

<p>Would Like to study: Economics, Finance, maybe International Relations.</p>

<p>Any help would be appreciated.</p>

<p>The academics seem to be on point and you are on the right track in that regard. Your ACT score is good and it wouldn’t hurt retaking the SAT since I imagine your score will increase quite a bit. The only drawback might be is that your ECs are average. There are a lot of smart kids applying to these schools. Your ECs are the part of the application that differentiate you from the rest of the pack.</p>

<p>I’d encourage you to take the AP Spanish Language and Culture (aka Spanish 4) exam. Pick up a Barron’s book and begin improving your reading/listening comprehension — specific grammatical principles are not tested. It should be an easy 4 or 5 if you can improve your comprehension!</p>
