Alright Guys bit painful , looking forward for some constructive criticism. Try not to be too harsh.

You would have a very good shot at this school if your SAT was ~2100, or even if it broke 2000. Your GPA is usually different from your UC GPA, so you're not necessarily out of the running yet. If you're a junior, then half of your UC GPA hasn't even been computed yet, which means that, provided that most of the low aspects of your GPA are from freshman year (and with the discrepancy in weighted vs. unweighted GPA, I'm guessing a lot of it is?), then you can very realistically look at UCSD, UCLA, and Berkeley.

Points that need to be addressed are more extracurriculars, particularly leadership positions. This is crucial since UCSD doesn't seem to award points if you're just a "member", and that's likely to extend to LA and Cal as well. In addition, try to bring community service to at least 100 hrs to be eligible for points there. Because of the issue of your GPA, you'll have to rely on standardized tests more, meaning studying now until you take them is very important (look into the SAT/ACT preparation forum for some help there).

With that being said, there's no way to tell what might happen from now until the app is due Nov. 2008, however you do have at your disposal many opportunities to get into UCSD, or even other schools as well. If you really are passionate about getting into a top tier UC, the message would seem to be that you aren't necessarily too late.

yeah what about it? Paintballing is pretty fun good sport. Relies on teamwork, great communication, and skill. I played in numerous tournaments at my local paintball field. Oh and by the way CIF is suppose to be CSF

Advice: to help your SAT scores, take classes with The Princeton Review or get the book to study the techniques on your own if you are broke like I am. I teach for TPR, and I swear by a lot of the techniques (most of which are absurdly simple).

I would definitely agree with the importance of more leadership positions, too. Hell, start your own club. It's usually a lot easier since a new club is smaller and more malleable, and it looks better on apps if you started it yourself.
