I NEED FINANCIAL AID ( 75 - 100 %)

Do I need to improve my extracurriculars?

Are my grades good enough for Ivies?

Which schools? HYPS? Also you do not add up your SAT 2 subject test scores. You are on the right track and you look like a qualified applicant but if you are International and require much FA, it will ultra competitive for any schools that meet need.

Yes all ivies.

There is no way to chance any applicant for HYPS since they are Reaches for everyone and more so for International students seeking aid. You need to identify some solid Match and Safety schools which will give you the FA needed besides HYPS. I would post your information on the International Thread so more experienced posters can give you some good suggestions. Good Luck.

How is your class rank? Your GPA seems a bit low for those top schools. Are you international student and need financial aid? It is tough with these combiinations.

Does Umich give FA to Int’ students?

Given that Michigan is known for being stingy with domestic students’ FA packages, I doubt their FA for Internationals is great – or even existent.

@BabylonBabylon I don’t know where you get the information from. Most public universities do not provide much aid, if any, to OOS students, but UMich is far from stingy and is well above average in terms of aids. It is one of the few schools that guarantee need met to all in state students. It also provides very generous aids to OOS students from low income families (<$35k). OOS students from families with below national median household income are also likely to receive some aids. You will find that from their sample aids and NPC. In addition, they are raising their endowment further to provide more financial aids to OOS students.
For internationals, there are only a handful or so schools (top elite schools) that provide need based aids and UMich is not one of them. International students are eligible to some merit scholarships at UMich though, for example, in the Music School.
