Thank you for your time.

in the books and much less time with the extracurriculars. Dude you’ve got more ECs than anyone I have ever known, and that’s exemplary, but that won’t get you into Carolina. Carolina is a really tough school to get into; are you an in-state resident?

The average GPA for last year’s class was the weighted 4.5 which is a way far cry from your freshman gpa. I realize you’re just getting cranked up with school and all that, but brother you need to really accelerate the academic side of the ball if you want to make it into Carolina. Also, too, the most competitive applicants to UNC will rank in the top 10% of their class.

I’d pick one EC that you’re ‘great at’ and stay with that; something for community service or something like that. I’d load up on Honors and AP classes and spend a lot more time in the books. I get the feeling you’re spending much too much time on the ECs and this is exhausting you. You’re asking for advice and help, and I’m just trying to motivate you to get this done! You can do it if you put your mind to it.

Go!
