By the way, USC is my top choice, but I wouldn't mind be chanced for UCLA or U Berkeley, which I know is a even higher reach. xD; Is there anything that I should/can do to help myself still? Hahas.

I don't think I forgot anything else... so Thanks. ;3

Borderline at best.

The test score of 1360 (USC doesn't look at the writing section) is okay and in the middle of acceptees, but a 3.8 W GPA is only about a 3.4 to 3.5 regular GPA, which won't really cut it for USC. (Average W GPA is about a 4.0 to 4.05).

I think if you emphasis the leadership aspect of your ECs, then you might have a chance--especially if the grade trend is upwards and you apply to Biology (which isn't one of their most in-demand programs).

Being OOS puts you at a real disadvantage in applying to UCLA and UC Berkeley. You have no chance at those, although you would have a slight chance at UC San Diego (great science programs) and at the mid-UCs (UCD, UCSB, and UCI).

Good luck.

I think, therefore I am. Stop second guessing yourself. Everything happens for a reason.

You have a shot, new scores could help. I am not so sure the Japanese EC stuff helps yo that much.

Sorry. Cal State is a fine choice, tho

Haha the odds are against me, but the fact that I might have the slightest chance is rather cheering.
Thanks for the responses, especially Calcruzer for your detailed one.

No problem, write if you need more details. Also, next time I'll try to spell "emphasize" correctly.
