I love this school and so from time to time I come here to see people’s questions – and I would love to answer any questions you may have about UNC.
About me: I graduated valedictorian from a small rural NC school. I attend UNC on a full tuition merit scholarship (the Chancellor’s Carolina). I am an Honors thesis student, and will be graduating in May with the following degree notations: with Honors (or with High Honors); with Distinction; Carolina Research Scholar; Honors Carolina Laureate. Note that UNC doesn’t do any “cum laude” degree notations. I am heavily, heavily involved in scientific research and was able to secure a stipend for neuroscience work at Dartmouth last summer, via a UNC fellowship program. Basically, I am really in-the-know about a lot of academics, sciences, etc., as well as some more “soft core” social life stuff, but I really can’t tell you anything about Greek life, athletics, and a few other areas.
Questions? Concerns? I’d love to answer anything. I can also try to chance you but keep in mind that my perception of what is “good” is very skewed by the fact that I met most of my close friends in the Honors Program, so they are people that are basically all way smarter than me and like came to UNC with half their BS degree finished already lol.
Ask me anything!
