I wondered if any of them have claustrophobia. I don’t think I could have done that cave challenge. Those narrow tunnels - just NO.
My heart was beating faster as they showed those cave tunnels.
I have always liked the brothers
The suspense/excitement seems to be a bit low this season. It’s been fairly obvious which is the team that’s going to be eliminated. Yesterday, the friends had absolutely no chance - they hadn’t even arrived at the challenge when most teams were done and gone.
Loved Slovenia. Beautiful country.
The previous week I thought Steve and Anna Leigh were going to be out. Until they weren’t.
Yes, that was one surprising week. I think there was another when a couple of teams had a literal race to the mat.
A hint for future racers: While the clue may say “travel by subway,” if asking a Swedish local for directions using English, say metro, since a subway may be interpreted as underpass. The preceding will also apply to most other countries.
@arisamp was yesterday a little better for you? How many times did the #1 team change in the episode?
Anna Leigh is really fast at some of the challenges (the garland, the wooden backpack, etc).
Loved Joel and Garrett’s response when they got to the mat.
The brothers do better navigating on their own.
How did the couple that lost get so far behind? Was it just the wreath challenge?
I have really come to enjoy Joel and Garrett. They are so supportive. I loved when they told the brothers they really wanted to help them but they couldn’t because the brothers were too good.
What I like about the brothers is the joy they seem to bring. He didn’t have to yuk it up while serving the dishes, but kindness costs nothing so why not be kind and have fun with it? I admire that.
Sorry, I am terrible with TV names:
The brothers, the father and son, and “mustachios” don’t seem to bicker, like the father/daughter and the couple did A LOT.
Makes the first 3 teams I mentioned so much more likeable.
Anna Leigh’s father is going to have a heart attack, the way she keeps nagging at him to go faster when he clearly is doing the best he can. She annoys me no end.
I really feel for him and worry about his health.
I love the joy of the beard and mustache team. 🩷
Yes! It sure was a fun episode and all so close. I think if the brothers had been on their own, they would have gotten there faster. But once you see the other teams, you kind of want to be with them, knowing you can definitely beat at least one of those teams out on a race to the mat!
I like most of these teams. Do get annoyed with Anna Leigh nagging her dad, but she definitely is carrying that team. Can’t believe how quick she is with some of those challenges. @Youdon_tsay - I really like the positive fun attitude the all male teams have. Makes it easy to root for them!
I recently signed on to Hulu and am watching an older season - season 31. With Rachel from previous amazing race seasons and big brother. So much drama, so much whining. OMG - I am glad this season doesn’t have a lot of that!
Neither Express Pass this season seemed to do much good. If only Corey and Rob hadn’t assumed Anna Leigh knew what she was doing and jumped on the bus because they were on it. They could have let them go and been much more ahead and might not have gotten even further lost because of her. I feel the bus driver didn’t drive off because he knew they weren’t supposed to be on the bus (I feel like the show has to let public transportation know about the expected filming).
I like Joel and Garret more each episode. Everyone’s joy at recycling was fun to see. I feel bad for Steve. He doesn’t want to disappoint his daughter and will die trying not to.
That last challenge would’ve ended SO much differently if the others had chosen the server challenge. The brothers were amazing (and their knowledge of French certainly helped). I think the others would’ve switched before completing it.
Rachel is the whiniest contestant in TAR history.
And BB history
I loved this episode - I’m terrified of skydiving (heights and falling!!!) but I think I would be able to do a tandem dive - I’d probably be in tears up until the actual parachute opening, and then I think the awe would kick in. I’d do it…once.
Can someone explain the recycling thing - not the challenge, but the actual purpose of crushing what appeared to be perfectly useful sinks, chairs, etc? I feel like they tried to explain it to us, but I didn’t get it.
I love the beard guys (their names escape me), absolutely hope Anna Leigh doesn’t win, and Rob & Corey are who I’m rooting for (or the brothers) - I’d be delighted with any of them winning besides father/daughter. And I wholly agree that poor father trying so hard and his brat (daughter) just riding him. Ugh!
