going to various engineering infosessions to get free food....

Standing in line for 100 times to try to win an iPod at the welcome fair. Watching people win, but not winning youself.

Spontaneous pizza party in the Linux lab.

This was awhile ago--I'm a parent--but one highlight was putting a goat on one of the fraternity's roofs (we put astroturf up there for the goat to stand on also and stapled it down so the goat wouldn't fall off). We also locked the goat up so that it would take them awhile to get it off the roof. It was a blast the next morning standing across the street and seeing the students passing the frat house staring at the goat and pointing.

Seeing Wilt Chamberlain working out on the basketball courts and also playing volleyball with some professionals against the UCLA team.

Meeting some really hot ladies (UCLA students and Playboy bunnies) down at the rec center (near the pool).

Finding out my econ professor was the chief economic advisor to the president the previous year--and was asked to go back and advise the White House from time to time--and yet was a really cool, funny guy in class--about as opposite as you would expect from a government official.

Going into Westwood with friends to get great burgers, donuts, or Asian fare.

Seeing the LA Lakers (at that time, Magic Johnson and James Worthy, along with Magic's friend, Isiah Thomas of the Pistons) hanging out at the same clubs as us in Santa Monica.

Having the rock group "Heart" come to UCLA to release their new album and preview it for the press and the UCLA students at the same time.

Being invited by my Operations Mgmt professor to help him prepare some presentation slides for a keynote address he was giving at a conference in Las Vegas--and then driving there (roadtrip) to see him give his presentation--of course, there are other things we students did once we got there--but as they say, what happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas.

Having an assignment to figure out which IT system UCLA should put in for handling student registration--and then finding out afterwards that I was the only one in the class who picked out the actual system (out of over 400 possibilities) that they ended up actually putting in (which my professor had chosen for them before giving us the assignment). That class ended up being an easy "A".

^Those were the days at UCLA. Knowing many alumni your age, they say everything was carefree, new, and exciting. Not that it's a bad experience now, just very different, more competitive.

Seeing Ryan Conferido at the club and around UCLA at times.

Just cuz I was a big fan of him.. :D

Oh seeing Jin at the club was pretty cool too!

Avoiding the guy on Bruin Walk for the first time.
