I had an interview with amazon last thursday and friday, i think the first one went reasonably well, I semi solved or satisfactorily solved every problem. The second interview was much better and I gave the most optimal solutions to all problems asked. It's been one week and I haven't heard anything back i know they usually send out rejections within one day. Should i contact the recruiter, if so what do i say, has anyone ever interviewed and gotten accepted. I need to know asap so i can reply to pending offers.

If you have other offers, you can politely ask them if there were any decisions made, because you’d really like to work for them. Call them in person.

Unless you absolutely need to know, I would give it time. One week is too short. You have to realise that they probably will interview more than 20 people for that one slot and in large companies, this takes time.I would venture to guess that you may not hear for at least 2 weeks if not more.
You can try giving them a call as suggested but if your have pending offers that need your immediate attention…remember the saying about having one bird in hand. Good luck.

The shortest wait time I’ve had for a FT offer was one full week; the longest was nearly six weeks. During that six weeks, I didn’t hear anything from the company… so don’t worry. If you had a super day, they’ll let you know when they know; that said, it’s perfectly acceptable for you to ask for a timeline.

Yes. Amazon gave me an offer 24 hours after my last interview (for an internship).

Note that the recruiters there take some time to answer e-mails because they are very very busy. They do prefer to be contacted by e-mail despite this. Don’t worry about how you should address them per se; the recruiter I talked to was very chill and cool.

One question: Semisolved?

Good luck!

I say semi solved because the interviewers want to see your approach i heard. My approach was correct, the implementation was a little off. Im not sure he noticed however.
