Ambiguous CR questions

On CR, I'm pretty solid on sentence completions, but I struggle with those passage questions that have two seemingly viable answers, one of which just answers the question a little more fully or accurately that the other. Do I just need to read more closely and practice more, or are there any specific strategies that are helpful on questions like these or resources that would be helpful? Thanks for your input.

Many times,a specific answer choices dont CONTRADICT the passage, but actually contain an information that is not mentioned in the passage. For example,in the first test of the BB,there are 2 short passages about the dolphins. The first question is ''what is the purpose of the two passages'' .Both passages discuss the intelligence of dolphins. One of the answer choices is ''Dolphins resemble human behaviour'' . In both passages, the authors say that dolphins have a specific level of intelligence ,and we can easily interpret that they resemble human behaviour.Although, according to some scientists this may be true,in both passages, none of the authors mention that dolphins resemble human behaviour,so this answer choice is incorrect.
You just need to differentiate what you know ,what you suppose, and what is actually said in the passage.

The first passage, I believe, does mention certain dolphins' intelligent activities which "belong" to humans, but the second passage has none of this anthropomorphizing baloney.

So it's largely a matter of just not assuming anything that's not explicitly stated?

The correct answer is ALWAYS supported in the passage.
Leave all your English "interpretations" at home

Thanks guys; focusing on this has really helped my practice test scores.
