I am! Watched the first episode last night. Had a couple of really good cries (that’s standard for me, with AI, and some of the more heart-wrenching stories) - so far I think I adore Anilee List and (surprisingly!) Alex Miller - the “impromptu” duet with Luke was a treat to watch, and while I don’t think he’s a strong enough competitor I am rooting for Jason Warrior!
Train wrecks… Claudia Conway (oy, can she please be eliminated early on) and the poor young woman who was sent packing, likely because the cast/crew/producers wouldn’t put up with her father’s antics, Danica Steakley - if she wishes to be a success as an artist she needs to do so without him. He ruined the entire experience for her (and me). No one likes a stage mom…or dad!

I did!! Good start to the show!!! The last gal was amazing. IMO. And our local kid was pretty interesting (the one that did backflips). And the Warrior. 
I felt so sorry for the young woman who had a lot of talent but her overbearing dad was unbearable! Mr. and I agree: it was the dad that sealed the “no” deal for the kid. And she is 17 and dad is 75 or so? My oh my. Agree on the Conway kid. She is trying so hard to demonstrate her “rebellious side” it looks very cliche.
Adding to the list of “memorable” moments - the cow tipping was so stupid it was actually funny!

Anyone watching? Some interesting voices were discovered today! But what the hey - the Cuban dude got a golden ticket?! Why?!

Oh my goodness…I’m ready to call my favorite…Alanis Sophia has captured my attention. There are a few others as well, for sure, but this young woman…wow!
There are quite a few questionable choices for Hollywood Week, but I realize that has to be in order to highlight the amazing. And there are a few amazing this season.

Watching the finale of this season. They just did a whole segment on the contestant Chayse Beckham and how he is now sober and that its a new beginning for him. And after his song, Luke Bryan says he has earned a bass fishing trip with him, and Ryan Seacrest says “that will involve some beer” and then says something else about beer. Yikes. It was really cringe-worthy.

I’m kind of watching and heard the fishing comment but not the beer one. Yikes.
It was rude and unnecessary - jeeze Ryan, read the room! Chayce has pulled himself out of the gutter, and I for one hope he remains clean and sober - I hope the pressure doesn’t get to him, and I wish him a lifetime of success!

Considering that his winner’s song, 23, is topping iTunes, Ryan’s comment was especially tone-deaf.
Anyone have any idea why Kenedi left the show?
Likely realized that if she won, which she well could have, she was locked in for 3 years.
I liked her.
Last night’s group was so much better than tonight’s.

In the past some have gotten recording contracts midway through the process and have jumped at them. So maybe…
We’ve also had some with checkered pasts that were forced to leave - I doubt that the case for her.
I recall when a few were vetted further and booted due to past (or even present) bad behavior. That is very unlikely in this case. More likely she has a recording offer.

I Googled him as I couldn’t recall which contestant he was. He’s got more trouble.
