As I said in my post, if you look hard enough you will find programs offered in English.

i'm not quite sure i believe that, nauru.

Well don't take my word for it, do some proper research on your own. Here, let me help you get started. :)

Erasmus is a good uni.

Erasmus is the shiz.
Leiden, UVA and Utrecht are great too.

but i'm not really interested in any of the programs they offer in english, nor am i interested in living in the netherlands.

but has anyone heard of john cabot university? its an american university in rome, and their website is nice enough.

Or you could just give up and go for American universities, that works too I guess.

well, i don't think there is a way i can go to a european university and study what i want to without living there for a year or two before hand and becoming fluent in the language. and i would rather just stay in america and study abroad a year, or go to a good american university in europe.

I ahve heard some good things about Jogn Cabot. It seems to be a respected uni in Italy. Does Bocconi not have english courses?

seempand, which modern language(s) do you want to study?

I see how studying e.g. French at an American university in France would fit into the picture and that by itself might help you find a job afterwards, even if the university itself is not that prestigious (to be honest, I have never heard a good thing about any of the American universities in Europe except on their own websites)

I really want to study Italian, but am also thinking about French and would be open to going to a university in France.

I am at an American University in Europe, graduating in 2 weeks. Already got accepted to SAIS at Johns Hopkins for my masters...if you have any questions I'd be more than glad to answer!

HoT

are you at the american university in rome or john cabot? i really really love rome, by the way, and that is where i would really want to go. what is it like? are you american? did you start when you were 18? have you been able to integrate into italian culture and society well? are the other students bright and motivated? any more information would be appreciated. thanks!

I sent you a PM :)

Helen of Troy, could you please send me the same message?I would also love to know if you're italian, if it was hard to get adapted in a different culture(in case you're not italian), if you regret that you didn't apply for some italian university in Rome and all the other questions that seempand asked you. Mille grazie per la Sua risposta!!!
