American University + Math = Good?

My D recently visited American and really likes the campus/atmosphere/etc. No problem, right? Except she is planning to major in Math or Comp Sci (minor in Educ), and I know that AU is widely known for Political Science or International Studies, not its technical departments. I can't find any evidence that their program is necessarily bad, but that doesn't mean that it's good either. Does anyone have any experience with their Math/Comp Sci programs, either positive or negative?

I know that there are plenty of other solid math programs out there, but all of the other aspects of AU are a good fit so I don't want to rule it out yet without doing my homework. If anyone wants to share any other good Math/Comp Sci programs in that area (DC/MD/VA, suburban/urban campus preferred), please post them here. Thanks!

She may be able to cross register into courses at George Washington U. There is a lot of cooperation among GW, American, and Catholic. She may want to look at George Washington U, also.

She may want to look into U Maryland.

Thanks for the posts. She looked at U of M but was way too big for her tastes. And GW was too much of a city school (AU has that more isolated/suburban-feeling campus). Plus she thought that those rowdy people in that big white house down the street might keep her awake at night. ;-)

I didn't know about the repricocity between AU/GW/CU, didn't come across in any info sessions or course catalogs, but will definitely look into it. I know that GWs rep for math is definitely much better than AU.
