So I was admitted to both but now I’m having a really hard time choosing. American is close to home, diverse (which I like) and I got into the Community-Based Research Scholars program. I’m worried it’s too political for me as I hate debating and I’m not too involved in politics. I am considering majoring in International Studies, but I have other interests as well and am worried I’ll be pushed to go for IR if I go to a school like AU. I’m also afraid that the campus doesn’t promote enough sense of community.
UR seems like a very close-knit community (pls correct me if I’m wrong) and the people seemed nice when I visited. I have read a lot of reviews lately that say that there is a huge drinking and partying culture, which I’m not super into and that there is a big problem with diversity and inclusion. I’m also considering applying to the Bonner Scholars program.
Pls if you have any insight at all that would be very helpful bc I’m so stressed about where to choose
