Do you live in Texas? I’m temporarily in Houston, but I grew up in PA.

Maybe we ought to do a geographic roll call.

I do…if I get into Amherst, I don’t know how I’ll handle the weather.

WorriedAlways, 2 girls from my school received rejections from Colby and Oberlin respectively. I know one applied to NYU but I don’t know if she’s heard back yet.
Thelxinoe, do you know if it’s easier to get into Brown as part of the RUE program than as a regular transfer?

I know a few people that got into NYU, notified a few weeks ago.

I would think the likelihood of transferring to brown and applying regularly would be the same.

I like @jyoungs idea of a geographic roll call.

I live in southern Connecticut (close to New York City), though I currently attend a small school right outside of Boston.

I live and attend school in Long island, NY. More towards Queens. About 45 minutes from the city.

Soooo does y’all’s admission thing say anything today?

@ronlo: All of my relatives are from Long Island. And I’m about an hour away from the city by train. So we actually live somewhat close.

@Worried: Nothing different yet, but the day has just begun. As much as I’d like to hear back today, I don’t think we will.

@Alyssa: That’s awesome! I appreciate being in the northeast. Amherst would only be like 3hr30mins drive :). If I ever feel homesick, I can just hop on a bus. WHOOP!

@Worried: If we hear this week, I would think it would be towards the end of the week. Anything is possible though :)!

In Maryland - the D.C. Metro area. I have lived here for a year as of May 19th, before which, I resided in Alaska for 3.5 years.

Los Angeles, California here.

My admissions status changed to the 30 March thing…

Maybe the change reflects their determining the admissions decision…?

Texas!

Ahhhhhh not accepted much!?

omg mine says it…

Maybe that means they read your application? throws random thought out there

I’m from Houston! Living in Boston currently. How is it?

I checked my application status and there was a letter saying that I was put on the waitlist. Of course, a few minutes later I checked again and it wasn’t there so I called to confirm.

Dcsmiss–that’s what I’ve been thinking since the message first started appearing–that a decision–whether positive or negative–has been made.
