If you think about it, someone has to leave to make a space for a transfer, if they enrolled properly. Very few Amherst students leave. Amherst prioritizes CC students and military vets for those spots.
I was waitlisted, I didn’t even know that was an option for transfers?? Did anyone else get waitlisted? They had me check if I would be interested in coming in fall 2018, spring 2019, or both
I too applied for transfer and was waitlisted by Amherst. Williams accepted me, though. Kind of weird how that worked seeing that I was missing some of the qualifying material for Williams. Funny how the world works.
Hey y’all! I realize this forum is probably dead at this point, but I also got accepted to Amherst for the Spring semester! I’m incredibly excited to start!
Quick question though: due to specific circumstances, I have to be enrolled as a full time student for Fall 2018. Do you think that taking all of my classes P/F (because they won’t transfer to Amherst) will reflect badly on me when I apply to grad school?
Hello everyone! I know it’s a little too late, but I am an international transfer interested in applying to Amherst.
Could anyone please tell me if I need to submit new TOEFL to Amherst? I have my old scores, but they are not available on the TOEFL website, so I just self-reported them in Common App. I know they ask for it, but will they consider my application with the old ones? Will that strongly hold against me???
Do I stand a chance?
