What is going on with the Amherst College computer system? The website does not work.
Here’s a tweet that the college sent out yesterday about the problem they are having with the campus network. Hopefully the website will be back up soon!
President Biddy Martin sent a message to the campus community tonight to say that the cause of the ongoing network disruption is still unknown, but that IT staff are working on restoring necessary functions.
Their wifi was out during the snowstorm too. I think it’s back but IDK if everything is.
Read on the website today, that they ruled out a cyber attack and it looks like everything seems to be mostly up and running. I’m grateful personal info. wasn’t compromised. and that when they realized students were faced with having to put quarters in a washing machine, they made all laundry free lol
