<p>I never knew Amherst offered interviews. I’m international and was contacted recently for a phone interview. The email they sent me said “along with a very selective pool of applicants, you have been blah blah blah…”</p>
<p>So, does anyone know (or could estimate) the percentage of students who get in after being offered an interview? Is it rare for an Amherst applicant to get one?</p>
<p>Very interesting. I have never heard of Amherst giving interviews before. Their website says they don’t offer evaluative interviews, and I called in January to double-check, and confirmed they don’t offer interviews.</p>

<p>^ thank you! I did a little googling and found that they offer very very few interviews. I guess they might want to clarify smth in my app? I was surprised since it says on their supp that they do not offer interviews…</p>
<p>I’ve received an invitation for an interview too (international applicant as well). Its conducted by an alumni so I presume it is more informative than evaluative. The interviewer mentioned that it will be about amherst and my high school activities.</p>
